Walter Alberto Portales Chávez (born March 27, 2004) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a full-back and as an attacking midfielder for Liga MX club Atlante.
Club career

[edit]Portales began his career at the academy of América, where he progressed through all categories, until he made his professional debut on January 10, 2025, in a 1–0 win against Pachuca,[1] being subbed in at the 85th minute.[2]
Loan to Puebla
[edit]On June 11, 2025, Portales was loaned to Puebla[3] and on July 11, he made his debut in a 2–3 loss to Atlas[4] playing 68 minutes.[5]
Atlante
[edit]On July 11, 2026, Portales signed with Atlante[6] and made his debut on July 16 in a 1–2 loss to Necaxa[7] playiing the full mtch and getting a yellow.[8]
