The 2026–27 W Canadian Championship is scheduled to be the first edition of the W Canadian Championship, the national women's soccer knockout competition in Canada.[1] The winner will qualify for the 2027 CONCACAF W Champions Cup.

Format

[edit]

Eight teams will participate across three knockout rounds starting with the quarter-finals featuring all six teams from the Northern Super League and two clubs from Premier Soccer Leagues Canada.[2] The quarter-finals will be held between August and October and matches between NSL teams will be previously scheduled league matches that will also count for the tournament. A draw for the semifinals and final will be held in early 2027 and matches will take place in the first half of the year. Each matchup throughout the tournament will consist of a single leg and will feature extra time and, if required, a penalty shoot-out to resolve ties.[3]

Teams

[edit]

All six Northern Super League will participate, as will the winner and runner up of the 2025 Inter-Provincial Championship.[4]
