The Indian men's national Under-19 cricket team represents India in cricket at Under-19 level. The team has won a record six Under-19 World Cup titles, and has the best win percentage in ODIs among all Under-19 national teams. Also, this team has won a record eight Under-19 Asia Cup titles.[1] India are the current holders of the Under-19 World Cup.
The team has won the Under-19 World Cup, a record six times and finished runners-up four times. In 2000, they won it under the captaincy of Mohammad Kaif, in 2008, they won it under Virat Kohli's leadership, in 2012 under Unmukt Chand, in 2018 under Prithvi Shaw, and in 2022 under Yash Dhull.[2][3][4] Ayush Mhatre led the team to their 6th title in 2026.[5]
The team has also won the Under-19 Asia Cup, a record eight times, in 1989, 2003, 2012, 2013–14, 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2021.
The team is currently captained by Ayush Mhatre,[6] and coached by former India cricketer Hrishikesh Kanitkar.[7]
