Verity (meme)
Verity is an internet meme originating from a Minecraft horror series character on YouTube that became popular across YouTube, Tiktok and Instagram Reels.[1]
Origin
[edit]The verity character originates from a two-part horror series by the Minecraft content creator ThatMob. The character was voiced by another Minecraft content creator, JustWhispy.[2]
Spread
[edit]A Minecraft mod based on the character was created and gained widespread popularity, receiving over 4.9 million downloads in under a month.[3]
The character has inspired various memes and a song by the Youtuber Horror Skunx called "It's me, It's Verity" has garnered over 31 million views on YouTube.[4]
