Tyreek Chappell (born November 22, 2002) is an American football cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Texas A&M Aggies.
Early life
[edit]Chappell attended Northeast High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He committed to play college football for the Texas A&M Aggies over offers from other schools such as Michigan, Arizona State, Baylor, and Boston College.[1]
College career
[edit]As a freshman in 2021, Chappell notched 41 tackles, nine pass deflections, and an interception in 12 games,[2] earning freshman all-American honors.[by whom?][3] In 2022, Chappell totaled 44 tackles and eight pass deflections in 11 starts. In the 2023 season, he racked up 21 tackles and an interception in ten starts.[4][5] Chappell played in just two games in 2024 before suffering a season-ending knee injury, recording three tackles with one being for a loss.[6] He returned in 2025, totaling 34 tackles and four pass deflections.[7]

After not being selected in the 2026 NFL draft, Chappell signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent.[9]
