Tim Power
Timothy Power (born September 1967)[1] is a British politician and businessman who served as the chief operating officer (COO) of Advance UK until June 2026, having also held other senior executive positions within the party. He was dismissed from his role as COO following an attempt to block the de-registration and merger of Advance UK into the Great British PAC, a move which resulted in legal disputes with Ben Habib, the leader of the party.
Political career
[edit]Power was the UK Independence Party (UKIP) parliamentary candidate for Sefton Central in the 2015 general election.[2] He finished third with 4,879 votes (10.0%).[3][4][5] At the concurrent 2015 local elections, he stood in the New Brighton ward in Wallasey, receiving 595 votes.[6] Power later became involved in Reform UK as its campaign manager for the Wallasey branch.[7]
In December 2025, Power was initially appointed as the national director of Advance UK, a far-right political party led by Ben Habib. The following month, Habib appointed Power as deputy national director and a regional director for the Northwest, before making him the chief operating officer (COO) of the party.[8][9]
In June 2026, Habib announced that the party would de-register and merge with the Great British PAC (GB PAC), a campaign group of which Habib is the chairman.[10] Power subsequently attempted to block the merger, writing to party members arguing that the decision was unconstitutional and that Habib held a conflict of interest, being the chairman of the GB PAC.[11][12][13] GB PAC stated that "Mr Power was subsequently removed from his role and alleged that he tried to disrupt the ballot".[14]
Byline Times later reported that Habib had removed Power as COO, threatening legal action against him, and reporting him to the police under the Computer Misuse Act for allegedly using the party's systems without permission.[15] Power stated that he would be launching a new political party to succeed Advance UK.[15]

Recently leaked Advance emails also show the party's then COO and northwest regional director, Tim Power, trying to mount a counter-coup against Habib.
