Thumata
Thumata (Greek: Θουμάτα, Thoumata),[1][2] or Thamatha,[3] was a town of classical antiquity.[4]
History
[edit]According to Ptolemy, Thumata was a town of Arabia Felix, but Pliny puts it on the Tigris.[5] According to Pliny, it was a distant ten days' sail from Petra, and subject to the king of the Characeni.[4]
