This template has recently been updated to reflect marked preference (as shown by Google searches) for use of term "Wikitext" over term "Wiki markup" to describe Wikitext. Scott P. (talk) 15:05, 5 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

People don't seem to use this template, unless...

[edit]

...they're using the template while editing and then removing it after the last preview prior to saving/publishing. Is there a way to find out if people are using it this way?

If it is somehow being used and/or is otherwise worthy of keeping, it will still need a lot of work. This template is still structured the old way, with the documentation not being on its own subpage. This left some red links on the page because whoever went to remove them only removed one instance each and didn't expect them to occur further down the page.

Also, the documentation contents are practically the same thing as a contents of the help box itself, although when I removed links to deleted templates (Template:Wikitable/help & Template:For/help) in the See also section, I replaced them with links to better pages.

Personally, if I wanted the kind of assistance that this helpbox would provide, I would simply open Help:Cheatsheet or the Help bar in the Wikitext editor. And so due to my real-life limitations, I will leave working any further on this template up to somebody else. —Geekdiva (talk) 03:08, 16 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
