HTU

[edit]

{{BBCproject}} The template is fully syntaxed for additional assessment and collaboration of the month features. These features will be activated when the project gets more prominant.

[edit]

These features should be kept. The to-do is for attracting potential members and the portal link should always be on the main article page and not the talk page. Unisouth 18:19, 26 March 2007 (UTC) - Founding father of WikiProject BBC in October 2006.Reply

I'm not sure I understand your logic regarding linking to the portal. The use of {{portal}} on project tags is widespread (including {{WPBiography}}, arguably the most used project tag with over 200,000 transclusions) and actually makes the portal more visible to readers than a link, and possibly more so than on an article as it is at the top of a talk page and should be at the bottom of an article. I'm not sure the to do list attracts members and I removed it because it is available on the project page and on the portal, but I don't mind having it there if others do. There were also a couple of other changes I made to the template which you have just reverted without explanation, including a switch function so that it doesn't say 'article' on a non-article page, and a re-phrasing of the text which conveyed the same intention with much fewer words. The more people have to read, the less likely they are to get to the end, or to even read it in the first place, and I think having more concise text that conveys the same information will attract users more than a long sentence. Unless you or anyone else has any further thoughts, I'll re-add most of my changes to the template, which I believe are an improvement. mattbr 19:50, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Task force

[edit]

I note that the |task force= parameter is documented as having two allowable values: |task force=BBC Sitcoms and |task force=BBC Radio. However, the template itself only has coding for the first one. --Redrose64 (talk) 09:41, 1 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

The logo currently shown next to the portal link is the Gill Sans logo, not the recently introduced Reith logo. I'd also suggest moving the portal link as it causes some weird padding issues, but for now the logo needs updating. Remagoxer (talk) 21:46, 14 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Image file updated. If you can provide an example of the weird padding issues, then that might help. P.I. Ellsworth- ed. put'r there 02:54, 15 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
I think the portal link's wrapping of the text looked a little odd at the time, but taking another look it seems fine. Thanks for the update! Remagoxer (talk) 09:54, 17 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
It's my pleasure! Paine  00:36, 18 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

The WikiProject is marked as "inactive" for now, so main inactive should reflect that. George Ho (talk) 20:47, 5 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
