[edit]I have replaced the image used in this userbox with a copyright warning notice. The image originally used is a copyrighted logo and cannot be used in a userbox under US copyright law as userboxes are not "fair use". Please feel free to replace the violation logo with a free logo other free image or with lettering. - Ahunt (talk) 11:44, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- I would propose replacing the image with File:Google Chrome icon (2011).svg (a Commons image). If it's OK to have this newer image on Commons, is that good enough to permit its use in a userbox? — Richwales (no relation to Jimbo) 19:10, 28 January 2013 (UTC)

- It looks like someone has decided that it is too simple a design to be eligible for copyright, which (unless someone else overrules them) means that it is now okay to use in user boxes! - Ahunt (talk) 21:02, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks. I've changed the image in the userbox. If anyone else feels this is still inappropriate, please check the discussion on the image's talk page on Commons; note that the image was proposed for deletion from Commons in June 2012, but the consensus was to keep it. — Richwales (no relation to Jimbo) 23:20, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
