What to should we do with this?

[edit]

This template is only used by User:Media Kid is always here, whose only edits, on 2006 May 30 from 03:48 to 03:50, were to, from first to last:

  • creating the discussion User talk:Cacetudo § Ambition? (which has not been replied to), stating "You seem pretty prestigious; do you play the card game Ambition?"
  • adding this template to their user page
  • creating this template

User:Media Kid's Strom Thurmond surprise was an alleged sockpuppet of User:Mike Church (see also User talk:Mike Church~enwiki), so it seems likely that User:Media Kid is always here was (also) a sockpuppet.

The version of the "ambition" page at the time was still a disambiguation page that did not mention anything really game-related.

I searched for this "Ambition" card game, and apparently it (not to be confused with the 2017 Rob Acton game published by Action Games SA) was invented by a Michael O. Church in 2003; here are the sources I've found:

Given that the sources (particularly the reviews by Mikko Saari [melankolia.net] and Cats At Cards) are in my opinion enough for notability (though just barely), and the game's creator's objections to the article's existence were solely due to vandalism, should we try again to create it, since the vandals ought to be long gone?

Anyways, as for the template itself, linking to the disambiguation page "ambition" is unhelpful, so I think:

  • If we create an article for the card game, we should change the link to point to it.
  • Otherwise, we should probably just remove the link and replace "ambition" with "the card game Ambition".

Also, would it be worth substituting this template into User:Media Kid is always here and then deleting it, since that's the only place it's currently and likely ever going to be used?
