Take a look at http://www.gnu.org/gnu/gnu-linux-faq.html to see why it is properly GNU/Linux. In brief, Linux is the kernel behind everything that makes it work, and when you talk about GNU/Linux, you're including some of the basic components that a functional system (such as Ubuntu) has. -Beard0 06:18, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
