[edit]Hi. I do not see the usefulness of having a flag icon in the template title. It does not add information and graphically this element is already present under the template on all the linked pages thanks to the portal bar. Féd Poppy (talk) 17:07, 9 February 2014 (UTC).
- The flag is present on all templates for all countries. Why not remove it from the portal bar if you're so concerned about it? Number 57 17:09, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- You cannot remove a picture from a portal bar without removing the link to the portal itself. I can understand that the other countries have a flag on the template... But this is a mere fact. Is there any consensus or even any discussion about that ? Féd Poppy (talk) 17:14, 9 February 2014 (UTC).
- Why do we even need the portal bar on every page? Switzerland is already linked both in the introduction of the article and in the sidebar. The sidebar also links to Politics of Switzerland. Number 57 18:23, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

- It's more than a mere fact, it's a question of stylistic consistency. Perhaps you should seek consensus on Category talk:Europe election year templates or Category talk:Election and referendum year templates before making an edit which makes this template different from all other such templates.
