Add an "in progress" argument?
[edit]Currently, if one finds a page which has a spoken article request, there is no way to immediately tell whether another user is currently in the process of recording one. This information is available, but it could be nice to have a way to indicate that a recording is in progress on the template itself, so that one can tell at a glance. - Good point. Please see my latest edit to this template – I've added a line in
<small>markup so that editors can check whether someone's already started recording the article they've shown an interest in.
- If we were to go further, maybe a parameter could be introduced, such as
| commenced = yes. This could either make the template replace the bottom line with "An editor has commenced recording a spoken version of this article; please see WikiProject Spoken Wikipedia § Currently recording." – or it could make the template completely rewrite itself to say that a recording is in progress, but I'm not too sure what that'd look like for now.
