Explanation of how to use leadout?

Template documentation mentions leadout parameter but I'm not sure how to use it. Also can I use this template for books like https://muse.jhu.edu/book/710 ?   — Chris Capoccia 💬 12:52, 5 May 2021 (UTC)

It doesn't appear to link to books. I wanted to link to https://muse.jhu.edu/book/32336 but the template linked to this https://muse.jhu.edu/article/32336 instead. It appears that some books and articles have the same number in the url but Project MUSE distinguishes by putting either "article" or "book" before it.
