Why "No." instead of "№"

For this template specifically, it would make more sense to use "№" instead of "No." as it is less ambiguous, and they look almost identical anyway. Changing the template to incorporate the № symbol would be difficult at all, and it wouldn't negatively affect that many pages either. See MOS:NUMERO. The symbol "№" should not be used in Wikipedia articles. I have reverted the change to this template. —Bkell (talk) 18:10, 25 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
