This exact same documentation page is used for NoteTag and NoteFoot (and many many more templates) but are clearly insufficient for that use. There is nothing specific to those templates on this documentation page.

Each and every template deserves a documentation page that explains the parameters for that specific template. This is fiendishly difficult to ascertain by simply looking at this documentation.
