Template talk:Is country

Convert to use Template:Country name

Trialpears, how do you feel about altering this template to transclude {{Country name}}? Or it could just {{#invoke:ISO 3166|name}} directly, whose data subpages seem to be the central location for this sort of conversion or test, and return 'yes' if the invocation returns any output. That would keep the template behavior in sync with the module. I have a use case for it but can't take it on right now (though it seems like quite a simple change), but I have no qualms about using the template as is. Mathglot (talk) 02:13, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
