Broaden to encompass civil engineering articles?

[edit]

I'm working on some articles that could use a civil engineering navbox. This infrastructure navbox looks very close to what the articles need. I noticed this template is not used very much, only 15 or 20 articles. What do people think of generalizing this to also include civil engineering? It would be nearly identical to its current state, but would perhaps double in size to include civil engineering topics, for example photogrammetry.

Nothing would be deleted from the template, and the essence would not change. The idea is: rather than creating a new, separate civil engineering template that overlaps with this one ... why not simply broaden this one a little bit? Thoughts? Noleander (talk) 03:12, 28 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
