Maps

[edit]

I have maps of all the postcode areas but lack the skill to turn them into anything useful (and outside of copyright). If anyone has any skill in that department and a desire to make some maps for use in the infoboxes please drop me a note. MRSCTalk 13:41, 23 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Statistics data

[edit]

Most of comes from here: MRSCTalk 13:41, 23 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

All the required data in now included in Template:Infobox_UK_postcode_area/stats.

Automation

[edit]

I've automated the postcode area name.

Just wondering if it may be better to include all the stats inside the template and just leave the area_code & map options available.

I did consider this, but some folks get angry if they want to edit something and it isn't very clear how to get there. That said, the data can be uploaded in one place which is good. MRSCTalk 08:42, 24 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've now automated all the figures, however, having moved the ref into the infobox, it now doesn't show up in the references list at the bottom of the articles. I'm not sure why. - WOSlinker 10:08, 24 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Looks like an issue with the Wiki System, see Meta:Cite/Cite.php#Problems. - WOSlinker 12:31, 24 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've removed the source out of the template and into the article as this seems to resolve it. MRSCTalk 09:02, 25 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
[edit]

The reference format for the stats in this infobox is creating an error "External link in |<param>=" which must be appearing on loads of articles. The help at Help:CS1 errors says to move the ext link to a url= but I am nervous about attempting to edit templates. Can anyone help? Rod talk 20:10, 6 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
