Overhaul
[edit]I'm going to be starting an overhaul of both these awards and the template. It seems that there is some inconsistency between the years that the films came out, and the year that the ceremony takes place. It's unfortunate that the Independent Spirit Awards decided to make things difficult by naming their awards for the films that took place in 2011, the "2012 Independent Spirit Awards." It's going to take a bit of finagling, but I'll try and get it all set up.
When this project is done, it should look parallel to Template:Academy Awards, which lists award ceremonies by the year of the films it is honoring, and NOT the year in which the ceremony took place. (e.g., the 84th Academy Awards, though held in 2012, honor the films of 2011. It is listed as "2011" on the Template.)--Bill shannon (talk) 03:35, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
