Disambiguation link being invoked

This template is invoking the disambiguation link Paulo Alves in the article, UEFA Euro 1996 qualifying Group 6, rather than the correct article, Paulo Alves (footballer, born 1969). A template that invokes a disambiguation link that can not be fixed is, unfortunately, a broken template. Please fix the template so that it does not invoke this disambiguation link, and provide clear instructions for finding and fixing other disambiguation links that the template may be invoking. bd2412 T 14:20, 26 February 2019 (UTC)

After extensive digging, I figured out that the link occurs in Module:Goalscorers/data/UEFA Euro 1996 qualifying. Please note in the documentation of this template where these links can be found if others become ambiguous in the future. bd2412 T 14:54, 26 February 2019 (UTC)

BD2412, sorry for any confusion, the Euro article is not actually calling this template. The code {{#invoke:Goalscorers| means it is calling a Lua module, which in this case is Module:Goalscorers (which has documentation listing all the subpages). S.A. Julio (talk) 19:10, 26 February 2019 (UTC)

Spacing issues

This template is creating spacing issues when used following a paragraph of prose, as seen at 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup#Goalscorers. Can this be fixed without forcing the text to be in a wrapped template, which creates difficulty for some editing styles? SounderBruce 05:56, 15 May 2020 (UTC)

Wrong link not in invocation

In 2026 CONCACAF W Championship qualification an invocation of this template is creating a link to the unrelated article Sandra Johnson (not a soccer player). Disambiguating the only instance of Johnson's name in the article did not change this link. I can find nowhere on Wikipedia nor on Wikidata where the template is pulling this bad link from. Please fix and do not create this kind of error again. It took significant searching to figure out that the bad link was in Module:Goalscorers/data/2026 CONCACAF W Championship. Nothing like this is mentioned in the template documentation and people fixing this sort of error should not be forced to understand template coding to figure this sort of thing out. Please change the template and its documentation to make things much more transparent:

• It must be easy for editors unfamiliar with the template to learn, for each invocation of the template, where it is drawing its data.
• It must be possible for all editors to fix data errors like this without having module code editing privileges.
• This situation, where data is drawn from some module file somewhere, must be documented in the template documentation.
