Hi @BrownHairedGirl: have you ever made a list of cases where the prefix parameter is used in Template:Country topics? It's unlikely but possible that this could throw up one or two cases that should be added to this template. – Fayenatic London 13:38, 24 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Fayenatic london: I haven't done that, but the best way to do it would be to make it populate a tracking category to Module:navbox. Doesn't look like an easy task, tho.
I just made this list so that it worked in all the categories it was use on. BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 13:48, 24 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
I've set up Category:Template Country topics with prefix parameter. Let's see what appears in it. – Fayenatic London 14:11, 25 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Good work, @FL. I took a peek, and was surprised to see Åland.

Indeed –  Done! That one was a hangover from renaming (the) Åland Islands to Åland. – Fayenatic London 22:10, 25 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
For the record, Template:Country topics now uses {{Country prefix the}}, and I have removed all uses of its prefix parameter. – Fayenatic London 21:16, 20 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
