Suggested "more_info" parameter

[edit]

I would like to propose that this template be modified to include an optional "more_information" parameter. This would not affect existing uses of this image, but would allow the tagger to add additional information.

The reason for the need is this. The template is not used for new images first published on Wikipedia, but for images found on the web with licensing information that indicates anyone can use it for any purpose without requiring specific permission. A "more_information" parameter would allow the reader to easily see why such a determination was made. For instance, the an image with as the source might not seem to be fit the "Copyrighted free use" template, but if the "more_information" parameter linked to and restated the permission there then the situation would be more clear. I suspect that in many cases this parameter would be similarly useful. Quadell (talk) 15:53, 1 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Template-protected edit request on 9 December 2020

[edit]

I request to delete "Template:Copyrighted free use provided that" link, because the template has been deleted since 2 years. Ahmetlii (talk) 13:05, 9 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Done But note that this broken link is in the documentation (which is not protected), rather than in the template. ProcrastinatingReader (talk) 13:54, 9 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
ProcrastinatingReader, thanks. I realized that right now. Ahmetlii (talk) 14:34, 9 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
