Poland

Poland isn't working as is down. I don't think this can be easily converted to Poland2 as the chart needs the specific chart weeks. All of the chart weeks go here and don't have unique URLs. Thanks! MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 00:07, 29 July 2026 (UTC)

IRMA (Ireland) interface update

Hi everyone! I'm writing to request an update for how we handle the Irish charts in our chart citation templates. The Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) website was recently updated. Just like the UK charts (Official Charts), the IRMA site now allows you to use a date to query specific archived weekly charts. See the URL example here.

Currently, we are using {{album chart|Ireland2|0}} and {{album chart|Ireland3|0}}. Now that the native site supports date queries, maybe we should integrate this directly into our templates so that the "Ireland" chart identifier natively accepts the |date= parameter, especially since Ireland3 using Official Charts only presents the Top 50, unlike the official IRMA site which presents the Top 100.

Proposed behavior: {{Album chart|Ireland4|1|date=YYYY-MM-DD}} This should generate a URL pointing to that specific week's chart archive on the IRMA website, matching the functionality we currently have for the UK charts. We can also add the singles chart (archived from 6 November 2014), compilations chart (archived from 30 October 2014, similar to the albums chart), independent chart (archived from 6 November 2014), homegrown chart (archived from 27 September 2024), and music DVD chart for more coverage (archived from 6 November 2014).

This would be a massive improvement for adding and verifying chart peaks in Ireland. Thanks in advance for the help! -- CeolAnGhra (talk) 00:10, 8 August 2026 (UTC)

 Done. The new "Ireland Independent" chart differs from the old "IrelandIndependent" only by a space. However, all of these defunct charts still need to be removed and replaced either with the new ones or with manual links anyway. Furthermore, I don’t think it makes much sense to keep the old space-less naming format and adapt to it. It seems like a naming convention that was flawed from the beginning. That’s why "Ireland4" doesn’t seem like the best name either, although let’s leave it as it is for now. Solidest (talk) 18:40, 10 August 2026 (UTC)

UK Folk Charts

The UK's Official Chart Company has had the Folk Albums chart since 2020, however I noticed this category isn't added in as a template. Is there a reason for that, or can it be added too? Majash2020 (talk) 23:53, 13 August 2026 (UTC)

Irish Chart Entries

The Irish chart citation currently uses the Ireland3 parameter in many articles | ERROR in "?": Missing parameter: chart.. This appears to be generating a reference to the Official Charts Company, but the relevant chart information is also published by IRMA, the Irish Recorded Music Association. Could someone please verify the source used by the Ireland3 parameter and determine whether it should instead link to the official IRMA chart data? The IRMA source for the relevant chart week is: https://www.irma.ie/irish-charts/albums/ In particular, I believe the underlying Template:Album chart configuration may need to be updated rather than simply changing the individual article. UK Digital (UK Album Downloads)

Just wanted to ask about the UK Album Downloads chart (UKDigital)... I recently had someone revert an edit of mine where they said the UK Album Download chart doesn't get added if the album already charted on the main UK chart. The UK Album chart tally includes sales from Downloads, Streams, Vinyl, CDs, and physical sales. Therefore if an album has appeared on the main UK Albums chart, the download albums chart, streaming album chart, vinyl chart and physical albums chart should not be included. >> Lil-unique1 (talk) — 23:00, 27 August 2026 (UTC)

Oricon

I think the current template for Oricon peaks are a bit problematic, since its charts become unavailable after a time (now, there's only charts from 2021 onwards, more exactly from October 4, 2021). A command for peaks before this date does exist, via Internet Archive, but there's charts from before this that have not been archived. I would suggest to create a template similar to the Germany one. For example, we have this link: https://www.oricon.co.jp/prof/300502/products/482696/1/, where 482696 would be an id, exactly what happens in the case of Germany, where we have this another link: https://www.offiziellecharts.de/charts/album-details-4165, where 4165 is the id.
