Usage
[edit]This template adds articles to Category:WikiProject Yorkshire articles and categorizes them using assessment grades and importance through built-in transclusion. An article's assessment is generated from the class and importance parameters in the {{WikiProject banner shell |class=}} and {{WikiProject Yorkshire |importance=}} banners, respectively, on its talk page. This template should be transcluded and not substituted (subst:) because it employs conditional code. Transclusion also allows easy updating of all the Project's talk pages without having to edit hundreds of pages.
To use this template, copy the following code and place it on an article talk page:

- class – This WikiProject follows Project-Independent Quality Assessment. Please add valid
|class=values to {{WikiProject banner shell}} instead of this WikiProject. Valid class values can be found at Wikipedia:Content assessment. - importance – See the assessment department for more details.
Parameters

|attention=yesif the article needs immediate attention from experienced editors. Use only if another parameter does not cover the need for attention; this should be used sparingly. It is strongly encouraged to also add a section to the talk page explaining what needs attention.- This parameter populates Category:Yorkshire articles needing attention.
- importance – valid values are: top, high, mid, low, na (case-insensitive). See the project's importance scale for details. Setting an explicit value of NA is rarely necessary; for this, either leave
|importance=blank or omit the parameter. - Bradford – set
|Bradford=yesif the article is supported by the Bradford task force.- This parameter populates Category:Bradford articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Bradford articles by quality based upon the
|class=parameter.

- needs-infobox – set
|needs-infobox=yesif the article needs an infobox. Remember that infoboxes are not suitable for all articles, and can overwhelm short articles.- This parameter populates Category:Yorkshire articles needing infoboxes.
- category – set
|category=noif, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.
