This is the WikiProject banner template used by WikiProject Oceania to keep track of articles within its scope. All articles are categorised into Category:WikiProject Oceania articles.

Basic usage

Place this on the talk page of relevant articles:

Parameters

• importance – see #Importance assessment below.
• category – set |category=no if, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.

Task forces

• Melanesia – set |Melanesia=yes if the article is supported by WikiProject Melanesia. This parameter populates Category:WikiProject Melanesia articles. This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Melanesia articles by quality based on the |class= parameter in the banner shell.
