About the template
[edit]The {{WikiProject Islands}} template adds article talk pages, category talk pages, template talk pages, etc. (whatever it is placed on) to Category:WikiProject Islands articles. It is also used to track article classifications and presents readers with a current "to do" list.
How to use this template
[edit]- The template always goes onto Talk pages, not article pages. The template must be transcluded and not substituted (using subst).
- class – This WikiProject follows Project-Independent Quality Assessment. Please add valid
|class=values to {{WikiProject banner shell}} instead of this WikiProject. Valid class values can be found at Wikipedia:Content assessment.{{WikiProject Islands|category}}outputs "This category is part of ..."
For main space articles which have not yet been assessed, simply use {{WikiProject Islands}}. This default places the article in Category:Unassessed Islands articles, and doesn't change the wording of the template in any way.
