Template documentation

This is the WikiProject banner template used by WikiProject Elements to keep track of articles within its scope. All articles are categorised into Category:WikiProject Elements articles.

Basic usage

Place this on the talk page of relevant articles:

Full usage

It is usual to remove any unused parameters from the template call.

Parameters

• importance – see #Importance assessment below.
• category – set |category=no if, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.

Notes and alerts

• GA – set |GA=yes or any non-blank value other than "no", "n" or "0". The following message will be displayed: "This article has been listed as a good article under the good article criteria."

Task forces

• isotopes – set |isotopes=yes if the article is supported by the Isotope Taskforce. This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:chemical element isotope articles by quality based on the |class= parameter in the banner shell.

Deprecated parameters

• listas – this parameter should be used with the banner shell template, not on individual project banners. Please see Template:WikiProject banner shell for details.
• class – this parameter should be used with the banner shell template, not on individual project banners. See WP:PIQA for more details.

Importance assessment

This project uses the standard importance scale. Valid values are shown below.
