Usage

The {{WikiProject Belize}} banner template should be added to the talk page of any article within the scope of WikiProject Belize. It may also be added to the talk page of any relevant draft, category, template, file, portal, disambiguation page, redirect page, or project page. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has a number of optional ones which help to categorise the page, flag issues with it, or otherwise call attention to it. The template automatically adds talk pages to the Belize articles tracking category.

Optional parameters

• class – This WikiProject follows Project-Independent Quality Assessment. Please add valid |class= values to {{WikiProject banner shell}} instead of this WikiProject. Valid class values can be found at Wikipedia:Content assessment.
• importance – a rating of the article's importance as per the project's importance scale

set |importance= to one of top, high, mid, low, na (as appropriate per the scale); alias |import=

This parameter populates Category:Belize articles by importance.

• attention – set |attention=yes if the article requires immediate attention from project members or other editors

alias |help=

This parameter populates Category:Belize articles needing attention.

• needs-infobox – set |needs-infobox=yes if the article needs an infobox

This parameter populates Category:Belize articles needing infoboxes.

• needs-coords – set |needs-coords=yes if the article needs geographic coordinates

This parameter populates Category:Belize articles missing geocoordinate data.

• needs-map – set |needs-map=yes if the article needs a map

This parameter populates Category:Wikipedia requested maps in Belize.

• needs-photo – set |needs-photo=yes if the article needs a photo or image

alias |needs-image=; may further set |of= to provide details

This parameter populates Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Belize.

• listas – This parameter, which is the equivalent of the DEFAULTSORT sortkey that should be placed on all biographical articles, is a sortkey for the article talk page (e.g. for Given Names Surname, use |listas=Surname, Given Names so that the talk page will show up in the S's and not the G's of the various assessment and administrative categories). This is important because it is one source used by those who set DEFAULTSORT on the article; consider also setting the DEFAULTSORT for the article when setting this parameter.   If the article is using {{WikiProject banner shell}} then it is preferable to add |listas= to that template instead of a project banner template. Putting the parameter on more than one template is not required.
• auto – a flag for use by bots; omit or leave blank

This parameter populates Category:Automatically assessed Belize articles.

• category – a flag to prevent categorisation (when demonstrating or testing the template); omit or leave blank
