This is a brief welcome template intended for a user who may have received an initial vandalism, "test edit", or other low-level warning on their Talk page (or deserves one, based on their edits), where there may still be room for good faith, even if they are responsible for some intentional mischief. This template seeks to pivot them into becoming a productive editor. Mentees are invited to ask questions, if the person placing the template is their Mentor.

Parameters
[edit]There are four named parameters, all optional:
|heading=no– suppresses the automatic heading|headtext=– alters the heading to your choice (default:Welcome!)|customend=– adds your custom text at the end of the message, replacing the closingThanks.|nomentor=yes– suppresses the dynamically generated mentee invitation if you are the user's Mentor.
If you are the user's mentor, the following text is appended automatically to the message:
- I've volunteered to be your Wikipedia mentor. If you have questions, you can find me listed in the "Your mentor" module bottom right onon the bottom of your homepage.
You can suppress the message using param |nomentor=yes.
