The {{WikiProject Vancouver}} project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has a number of optional ones that add various extra features to the banner. The full syntax is as follows:

General parameters:
- class – This WikiProject follows Project-Independent Quality Assessment. Please add valid
|class=values to {{WikiProject banner shell}} instead of this WikiProject. Valid class values can be found at Wikipedia:Content assessment. - importance - a rating of the article's importance; see Wikipedia:WikiProject Organized Labour/Assessment for more details. Valid values are:
- Top - Reserved for the primary articles on Vancouver. These are considered fundamental to the topic.
- High - Major --- please update---
- Mid - General --- please update---
- Low - Minor --- please update---
- No - Used only for disputed articles. Provide discussion related to the rating, as this rating is likely to be removed or replaced on sight.
- city - a designation for which GVRD city the article is related to. Editors are encouraged to use this, but it is not mandatory.

- NVan - City and District of North Vancouver
