Description

This template creates an external link to IAU's Bulletin (PDF file) of newly named comets and minor planets (see publication list). Responsible for assigning names is IAU's Working Group (WG) on Small Body Nomenclature (WGSBN). For more details, see WGSBN's homepage.

Usage

This template is currently used in the Reference-column in Meanings of minor planet names (for the partial lists, see index). This template requires three (unnamed) parameters, that give the

• volume (1–999)
• issue (1–999), and
• page number (1–999)

of a WGSBN Bulletin for a specific citation. Missing parameter values default to volume 1, issue 1, and page 1, respectively.

Example

• {{WGSBNB|1|2|10}} produces IAU, a link to the corresponding Bulletin for the naming of asteroid 27400 Mikewong27400 Mikewong, which can be found in volume 1, issue #2, on page 10.
