This is the {{Umbox}} ([U]ser talk page [m]essage [box]) metatemplate, for use with the likes of {{Talkback}} and {{You've got mail}}.

Usage

If you want to add a message box to the top of your user page, please use {{Ombox}}.

Note that if the file specified as |image= is not public domain or CC0 licensed, you'll need to set |imagelink= to link to the file description page to satisfy the file's license's requirements for attribution. See MOS:BLANKALT and MOS:EMPTYALT for details.
