This template maps time zones to the UTC offset of their daylight saving time (DST), or of their standard time if the time zone observes the same year-round offset, from tz database. The output is formatted in "+HH:mm" or "−HH:mm", in plain text.

Usage

{{Time zone/utc dst offset}} has one required positional parameter for timezone name from tz database. For example:

• {{Time zone/utc dst offset|America/New_York}} → −04:00
• {{Time zone/utc dst offset|Europe/Berlin}} → +02:00
• {{Time zone/utc dst offset|Australia/Sydney}} → +11:00

For time zones that do not observe DST, the results are the same as from {{Time zone/utc offset}}:

• {{Time zone/utc dst offset|Pacific/Honolulu}} → −10:00
• {{Time zone/utc dst offset|Asia/Singapore}} → +08:00

For invalid timezone names:

• {{Time zone/utc dst offset}} → Time zone (null) is not in {{Tz/utc dst offset}}.
• {{Time zone/utc dst offset|}} → Time zone is not in {{Tz/utc dst offset}}.
• {{Time zone/utc dst offset|No such TZ name}} → Time zone No such TZ name is not in {{Tz/utc dst offset}}.
