Template:Uw-tilde
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, please be sure to sign your posts (but never when editing articles). There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button
located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Usage
{{subst:Uw-tilde}}{{subst:Uw-tilde|Page name}}references a specific Page name{{subst:Uw-tilde|Page name|Additional text}}adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you"{{subst:Uw-tilde||Additional text}}or{{subst:Uw-tilde|2=Additional text}}also adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you", but doesn't link a page as specified by the Page name.
Please remember to substitute the template using {{subst:Uw-tilde}} rather than {{Uw-tilde}}.
To customize your message, parameters are available; one to add the article name, and one to add additional text at the end of the message. If your param value contains an equal sign (as urls often do), then be sure to explicitly specify the positional parameter by number; i.e., use |1= or |2= followed by the value; e.g., |1=XYZ=Repainting, or |2=https://www.bbc.com/search?q=Kent+weather.
