Template:SSRN/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Makes a link to a paper at the Social Science Research Network from an SSRN identifier. The identifier is rendered using much of the same code that renders |ssrn= in Citation Style 1 and Citation Style 2 templates except that this template can be used to render multiple SSRN identifiers.

Usage

[edit]

This template accepts these parameters:

|idn= – an SSRN identifier; the |idn= parameter name is not required but is recommended for clarity when the template has multiple identifiers
|ssrn-access= – accepts a single value free; for use when the source identified by the SSRN identifier is free-to-read
|link= – accepts a single value no; for use when it is the 'SSRN' prefix in the rendering should not be linked
|plainlink= – accepts a single value yes; suppresses the 'SSRN' prefix in the rendering
|leadout= – defines the conjunction between the last two identifiers in the rendered list; defaults to ,

The basic form is:

{{ssrn|id=5274812}}SSRN 5274812

To mark an SSRN identifier as free-to-read:

{{ssrn|id=5274812|ssrn-access=free}}SSRN 5274812

To unlink the prefix:

{{ssrn|id=5274812|link=no}}SSRN 5274812

To suppress the prefix:

{{ssrn|id=5274812|plainlink=yes}}5274812

For instructions on how to use Wikipedia to automatically expand an SSRN identifier into a full reference complete with article title, author(s), date, journal name, volume, issue, page numbers, etc., please see User:Citation bot/use.

Tracking categories

[edit]
  • Category:Pages with SSRN errorserror category for {{ssrn}} templates that show an error message

Because this template uses the same code as cs1|2 templates, error and maintenance visibility is controlled the same way. See Help:CS1 errors § Controlling error message display.
