Usage

This template is designed for the U notation used with 19-inch racks. Given a number, the template repeats that number appending a letter U then, in parentheses, gives its equivalent in inches and centimetres.

  • {{rackunit|x}} produces xU (y inches, z cm)

Thus, for example,

"took up {{rackunit|12}} of space"

produces

"took up 12U (21 in, 53.3 cm) of space".
