Template:Popdf/doc

This template {{popdf}} adds U+202C POP DIRECTIONAL FORMATTING (or by character acronym PDF). It is an invisible formatting character, which only affects directionality of text. Its general Unicode acronym "PDF" cannot be used for this template, since it already has a different meaning.

Usage

{{popdf}} adds an invisible character that marks the end of a text to be in forced directionality. That forced directionality can be started with: {{lro}}, {{rlo}} "opening" marks.

Note that it is not needed when using the RLM or LRM character, since these marks are standing alone, and are not "opening" marks.

They are invisible, and have no effect apart from directionality. Nine of them have a unique, overruling BiDi-type that is used by the algorithm. Their type is also their acronym (e.g. character 'LRE' has BiDi type 'LRE').
