A wrapper around {{essay}} that sets the interprets parameter and uses the notability subcategory of the Wikipedia essays category (or of the user essays category, depending on namespace). See the documentation for {{essay}} for more information on the other parameters.

This template should be used on notability essays written by editors. For Wikiproject essays about notability, use Template:Wikiproject notability essay.
This template adds the page to Category:Wikipedia essays about notability if the essay is in Wikipedia namespace or to Category:User essays on notability.
