This is the template test cases page for the sandbox of Template:Navsource. Purge this page to update the examples.

Does it work with existing work-around code?

This works because it, in effect, mimics the operation of the old {{navsource}}. The {{noitalic}} work-around causes the tests in the new version for fail so the positional parameter {{{2}}} is treated like it doesn't have a proper ship prefix.
