Template:MCU Wiki/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Usage

[edit]

This template provides a shorthand way to provide an external link to the Marvel Cinematic Universe Wiki. It is intended to be used in articles about fictional elements in the MCU, including characters, groups, locations, and objects.

Syntax

[edit]
{{MCU Wiki|<!-- Title of MCU Wiki page (optional) -->|<!-- Display name (optional) -->}}

Examples

[edit]

No parameters

[edit]

The plain template can be used if the element's Wikipedia article and MCU Wiki page share the same name. If the element's Wikipedia article is disambiguated parenthetically, for example (Marvel Cinematic Universe), the template will strip that part from the URL. The second parameter is optional and produces a custom display name; the template defaults to the Wikipedia article's title if left blank.

E.g.: {{MCU Wiki}} on the Phil Coulson page produces:

E.g.: {{MCU Wiki}} on the Steve Rogers (Marvel Cinematic Universe) page produces:

With parameters

[edit]

If the element's Wikipedia article has a different title on the MCU Wiki page, the first parameter must be filled out with the title of the MCU Wiki page. The second parameter is optional and produces a custom display name; the template defaults to the Wikipedia article's name if left blank.

E.g.: {{MCU Wiki|Iron Man}} on the Tony Stark (Marvel Cinematic Universe) page produces:

E.g.: {{MCU Wiki|Star-Lord/Ravager T'Challa|T'Challa Star-Lord}} on the T'Challa (Marvel Cinematic Universe) page produces:
