When to use

Use this template to tag sections that you believe should have a legend/key to help explain the information that it is shown. Do not use this when the abbreviation uses {{Abbr}} or has its own template to show a message bubble explaining the abbreviation. Using the template will add it to Category:Articles needing a legend

Usage

• {{Legend needed section|date=July 2026}} for normal use.

You can use optional parameters as well like:

• {{Legend needed section|reason=Table uses unknown red coloring.|date=July 2026}}

Parameters

• |date= – Month name and year, e.g. "July 2026"
• |talk= – Section or fullpage id of discussion
• |reason= – Specific reasoning behind the addition of the template
