Template:Export treemap/doc

This documentation is shared by the country-specific templates named Template:Export treemap COUNTRY. These templates display interactive treemaps of product exports for countries and dependent territories, using 2019 export data.

Hovering over a rectangle displays the product name, product category, percentage share of total exports, and export value.

Usage

Default sizing:

{{Export treemap Chile}}

The default upright value is 1.5.

A different upright value can be specified with upright=:

{{Export treemap Chile|upright=1.75}}

A fixed width can instead be specified with size=:

{{Export treemap Chile|size=450px}}

If both parameters are supplied, size takes precedence.

Parameters

upright

Optional. Specifies the MediaWiki upright scaling factor. The default is 1.5.

size

Optional. Specifies a fixed image width such as 450px. If supplied, this takes precedence over upright.

Data and generation

The imagemap regions and percentages are generated automatically from data embedded in the corresponding 2019 SVG files on Wikimedia Commons. Invisible zero-area rectangles are included when calculating the total export value but do not receive invented imagemap regions.

The conversion follows the generator documented at commons:User:PJ Geest/Interactive export treemaps.

Country names in template titles follow English Wikipedia naming where the source SVG uses an outdated or differently formatted name. Visible captions use normal English forms such as the Bahamas, the Gambia, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
