Template:Compromised account/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This template adds pages to Category:Compromised accounts.

Use the optional parameter if a new account has been created to replace the compromised account to point to it. Omit the User: prefix.

GFDL compliance: This template is based on {{Sockpuppet}} templates.

This template should be used in either of the following forms:

{{Compromised account|New username|yes/checkuser|evidence}}

or

{{Compromised account|New username|confirmed=yes/checkuser|evidence=?}}

If nothing is written after "confirmed", the notice will say "...because it has, or may have, been compromised". If nothing is written in "evidence", the notice will say "Please refer to contributions for evidence." If nothing is written in "New username", the notice won't state the legitimate owner's new username.

The by parameter can be used to show who compromised the account.

Code Output

{{Compromised account|Username2|confirmed=yes|evidence=test}}
{{Compromised account|Username2|locked=yes}}
