Template:Cite Grove 1900/doc

This template provides a quick, standard method of citing A Dictionary of Music and Musicians (1900) for music-related articles in Wikipedia.

Usage

The syntax with typical parameters is as follows:

All parameters are strictly speaking optional, in which case a general citation is generated:

Grove, George, ed. (1900). A Dictionary of Music and Musicians. London: Macmillan. {{cite encyclopedia}}: Missing or empty |title= (help)

However, it is strongly encouraged to include at least |title=, |last=, |first=, |volume=, and |pages=. This template is a wrapper around {{cite encyclopedia}} and supports all the same functionality and parameters (including |mode=cs2).
