Usage

This template is used for creating a citation of Dictionary.com for the specified search term. The access date can be specified, if desired, with the accessdate parameter.

Example:

• {{Cite Dictionary.com |spoon |access-date=2026-08-11 }}

produces:

• "spoon". Dictionary.com Unabridged (Online). n.d. Retrieved 2026-08-11.

Note this template is for citing the dictionary Dictionary.com Unabridged (the "American" tab), not the website Dictionary.com. If the entry found on Dictionary.com you're citing is from another dictionary, do not use this template and instead attribute it properly (if you can't identify the source dictionary, don't cite it).
