This template displays a playing card of a given suit and value. There are separate templates for displaying other cards:

  • Korean-style hanafuda: {{Hwatu}}

Instructions

This template accepts two arguments: suit and value:

{{card|suit|value}}

Where suit is one of the following values:

  • heart
  • diamond
  • spade
  • club

And the value is one of the following values:

Jokers are also supported:

{{card|color|Joker}}

Where color is one of the following values:

  • red
  • black

A card back is also supported:

{{card|back}}

By default, all cards will be in the English pattern. However, this can be changed via the pattern argument:

Please note that not all patterns have jokers, the Spanish pattern doesn't have rank 10, the German pattern doesn't have ranks below 7, and the Swiss pattern doesn't have ranks below 6 and considers the Banner as rank 10. The German and Swiss patterns use values U=Unter, O=Ober, and D=Deuce, and uses suits: acorn and bell. The German pattern use the heart and leaf suits, and the Swiss pattern use the rose and shield suits. The Spanish and Italian patterns use value C=Cavalier and use suits: cup, coin, club, and sword.
