Template documentation{{BNM}} is used in the {{Music ratings}} template to note that a piece of music has been awarded the "Best New Music" designation from the music review website Pitchfork. As described by the website, "Best New Music is Pitchfork’s way of highlighting the finest music of the current moment."[1]
The template has one parameter, |type=, which changes the icon's caption text when hovered over. The type parameters are:
album, displaying Best New Albumtrack, displaying Best New Trackreissue, displaying Best New Reissuemusicor any other input, displaying Best New Music
{{BNM|type=album}} will render as
. Hover over the icon, and the text Best New Album will appear. When used with the music ratings template, it should look like:
