Template:ASN accident/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Template:ASN accident creates an external link to an occurrence report in the Aviation Safety Network database.

Overview

[edit]

This template contains five parameters: id, type, title, wikibase, and accessdate, in the following format:

{{ASN accident |id= |type= |title= |wikibase= |accessdate= }}

Usage

[edit]

Parameters:

  • id = yyyymmdd-n — ASN database id (required)
  • type = Type — incident type, as listed in ASN (optional, defaults to Accident)
  • title = Title — incident title, if not evident from article title (optional)
  • wikibase = yes — must be specified for entries in the ASN Wikibase; can be omitted for entries in the main ASN Accident Database. Note: the ASN Wikibase has been determined to be unreliable as a source. This template displays a warning when it is used.
  • accessdate = yyyy-mm-dd — date retrieved, if used to reference specific facts; leave out if using the ASN entry as a general reference or external link (optional) – Alias: access-date

For example:

{{ASN accident |id=220473 |type=Incident |title=ET-ATV |wikibase=no}}

renders as:

"Incident description for ET-ATV". Aviation Safety Network.
